June 13, 2007 featured a lovely temperature, and gusty South West winds. We had a great romp out past Batt Rock, U62, and Welbury Spar, but everyone except IMP got caught in a great big hole on the way home just beyond the last Sister. A gorgeous sky was enjoyed by all.
June 20, 2007
June 27 was a bit different; we had a 10 knot South West breeze, and an unusual course. (Also, Greg Slakov managed to go for a dip up to his waist before we even left the dock). We circumnavigated Clamshell Island in Long Harbour, and then returned home, where we all gathered on Arbitrage for a beer and a chat. It was very close racing, especially for the weather work up to Scott Point. The Wood Clan got to Clamshell first, only to get confused about which marks to round. Arbitrage continues to get faster, and led all the way back until their lack of a spinnaker left them vulnerable in Ganges Harbour. One last note, Saorsa is for sale.
