Club Job Descriptions

Board Member Job Descriptions

The Directors who service on the Club’s Board play a vital leadership role. These are challenging but rewarding jobs, not unlike the work that many of our experienced Club members have successfully done during their various careers. The commitment to a Board position typically is made for a year or two, although some dedicated members have served for multiple terms. However, it is important to the health of the Club that able members step up to Director roles to share the leadership workload, and to keep a steady flow of energy and ideas at the Board table. For this reason, all members with the required skills should consider taking their turn on the Executive, and may be called upon to do so by the Volunteer and Nominating Committee.

Appointed Positions Job Descriptions

To support the Executive with management duties and specialized skills, a number of Appointed Positions are named by the Board annually. Appointees work with their respective Committee and are responsible to their Committee Chair. Terms for Appointed Positions are one year, and are renewable. For those who have skills and time to contribute, these leadership roles are a rewarding alternative to a full Board position.
