Two documents outlining events of past years have been unearthed (and scanned, thanks to Jan Macpherson).

The first is a Pacific Yachting article about the Round Saltspring Race in 2001, when Kevin Vine was heading up the race organization.  For an interesting read, click here:  RSI 2001 PY

The second document is some of Dick Pattinson’s notes about sailing around Vancouver Island in 1983 and 1991.  People will remember Dick’s repeated circumnavigations of Vancouver Island in his distinctive green Grampian 26 Gwaihir, sometimes accompanied by his wife Chris, sometimes alone for certain periods, and sometimes accompanied by family members, often joining up with other Club members for portions of the journey.  Dick was extraordinarily helpful with advice and lending charts to fellow Club members over many years.  He kept excellent records of his journeys and freely shared what worked and what didn’t.  To read an excerpt, click here:  dickpattinson 1983 1991
